EBT Cards at Package Stores

In April of this year the Members of the Authority issued the Advisory listed below.  The Advisory was issued to assist licensees by educating them about this prohibition and informing them how they could prevent the use of EBT cards at their premises.

The Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance has begun forwarding the Authority reports of licensees who have accepted EBT cards in violation of the law.  The Authority will issue notices of pleadings to these licensees.  However, the penalty for a first time violation of this rule will simply be a Letter of Warning.  If a licensee continues to accept EBT cards, the licensee will be prosecuted accordingly.  Please review this Advisory and disable your systems from accepting EBT cards.
