York State Liquor Store Association Donates to Albany Medical Center, Melodies
Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders Albany, NY…September 24, 2014
– The New York State Liquor Store Association (NYSLSA) today presented a $1,000
donation check to the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders
at Albany Medical Center. "We proudly host our Annual Tradeshow in Albany, which is a big draw
for business owners in liquor retail and restaurant industries all over the Capital
Region, coming out year after year in droves to support our association. We wanted
to give back and show our commitment to the community,” stated Tom Edwards,
NYSLSA President. NYSLSA will hold its 5th Annual Holiday Tradeshow on October
14, 2014 in Colonie at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center, 2 – 8 pm, and
on October 16, 2014 in Rochester at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, 2
– 8 pm. The Tradeshow featured over 150 vendors and attracts roughly 1,000
attendees. Admission to both events is free. NYSLSA selected the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood
Disorders due to its work with children in the community, especially during the
month of September, Children’s Cancer Awareness Month, as the Center raises
awareness through fundraising initiatives, research and other programs. NYSLSA was
created as a product of the merger of Empire State Liquor Association and the
Eastern New York Liquor Association. The mission of NYSLSA is to create a
stronger presence of retailers within the industry and to represent the
political and business interests of liquor store owners throughout the
state. NYSLSA focuses
on the 1,100 licensed retail owners located in the 54 counties of Upstate New
York. For more information about NYSLSA, please visit the website: www.nyslsa.org ###
